Grading a Paper

Available Tab

1. What does Cloud Learning Solutions do?

Cloud Learning Solutions is a TechEd company that helps students who study on English language programs. We advise them on their assignments which will help them improve their academic results. We employ freelance writers who design model papers for students that are the answers to questions our clients receive as homework.

2. What do I have to do as a grader?

  1. Read papers submitted by freelance writers.
  2. Provide an estimate of the grade according to the paper requirements. Grade estimates should correspond to educational level and the school stated in the paper requirements. E.g., to get an A at Berkley you should study harder than to get an A at University of Hometown.
  3. Fill-in a report that sums up the results of pre-grader’s work. This report is created for each order you work with.
  4. Provide recommendations and detailed explanations to paper authors on how to improve the paper to get a B or an A.

3. What is the “Available for grading” folder?

This folder contains all papers to grade currently available to you. The subjects of these papers match the subjects that you chose when you filled in the “Settings” of your account. Each paper contains paper details, additional requirements, and additional files. Please notice that you don’t have to write the paper, your task is to review it and to provide recommendations.

4. What is the “Orders in progress” folder?

This is your core working folder. All papers that you chose for grading are stored in it. There you can see several tabs. The most important tab is “Files for grading”. It contains four kinds of files – Outline, Sources, Draft, and Final draft. Each of these files is meant to represent a particular stage of working on the paper. You have to start by grading the outline that is a plan for the paper. After that, you have to grade sources of the paper (these are sources that the paper author uses while writing). Also you have to review the draft of the paper. However, the most important task is to grade the final paper.

5. What is in the “Completed” folder?

It stores all papers that you completed in a set period of time. You can also see how much you earned for the work you have done.

6. When do I have to take orders?

We do recommend you to accept an order once it appears in the system. Starting working on it from the very beginning and submitting your comments at early stages (such as when the paper author submits an outline of the paper), you will have less work to do in the end, when the final paper is ready.

7. Do I have to upload files with my comments or is a grading report just enough?

You have to upload files with your comments and fill in the report for each paper you have chosen to grade. You cannot complete the paper if you have not added comments to the final paper. You also have to upload comments to other parts of the paper.

8. Can I submit more than one grading report for one paper?

It is up to you. Furthermore, it may happen that the paper author did a revision of it based on your recommendations and uploaded a new version of the paper to the Draft or Final paper section. You have to check the revised paper and see whether it changes the grade you gave the paper.

9. What if I miss a deadline?

If you miss a deadline, you will not be paid for this paper. We also apply a 120% fine on late orders. For instance, if you took an order and were supposed to be paid $4 for it, missing a deadline results in a fine of $4.8, which means that you will not be paid for the paper and be fined for $.8. This is because we need to ensure that the paper authors have enough time to take your comments into consideration and improve their work.

10. What if I do not want the order I have already taken?

You can press Reject order button and it will disappear. However, if there are less than 10 hours left before the deadline, you have to inform our support team and they will take the order away manually. Please do not use this option frequently.

11. What if the order suddenly goes away from my account?

This means it was cancelled in the system by our support team. You do not have to worry. Nevertheless, if an order suddenly disappears, inform the support team about it – it may be a bug that have to be fixed.

12. Can I get any bonuses?

Yes, you can. If the author’s professor gives him/her an A or a B, you will receive a $1 bonus per page of the paper in addition to the base rate.

13. How do I receive my salary?

We make payments two times a month via PayPal. Nevertheless, if you would like to use an alternative payment method or if you would like us to pay on a different schedule, inform our support team and we will arrange it.

14. Whom can I talk to when I have a problem?
